On the date of October 7th, 2001 nearly one month after the infamous event in our countries history 9/11 The United States Invaded Iraq, which occured during the presidential reign of George W. Bush. The main purpose of the war was to put an end to the Al Quaida terrorist organzation once and for all though many people suspect it was just an excuse for the United States to get some form of revenge for all the american citzens lives lost during 9/11. Another aspiration for the United States was to transform Iraq into a well runned Democracy. has been exactly a little more than a decade since that date, and many things have transpired. Osama Bin Laden the man who was the spearhead and the most responsible "Supposedly" for the 9/11 attacks had recently been killed by a group of some of  the United States finest Marines after escaping U.S clutches for ten years. Saddam Hussein who was the president of Iraq and who was known for his brutality and his costly wars in which he raged against fellow countries. The United States has taken over for the most part and has helped the iraqis build thier own democracy(flawed) but its progressing. However, the true conflict is if the United States should return its soldiers back home or keep them there an Iraq as miltitary enforcers. The Iraqis want the U.S out of thier countrie because it is thier own country and they have just began the commencement of thier new Democracy, The U.S already has all that so they should leave. But from the U.S point of view if they were to leave Iraq will the people of Iraqi truly be safe ? The taliban could take over. Is thier anyway for the United States to win this war ? I would say not a chance in hell. The main reason is that they arew fighting an enemy(taliban) that they can't see high up in the moutains dropping down some heavy artilery down on them while the soldiers are stuck in thier barely mobile tanks. Lets face it they are going up against an eenmey that not even the Alexander The Great, The Romans etc could takeover. I believe that its time to pack up and give the soliders a permanant vacation 10 years overdue.

  1. Josh,

This is ok. It seems a little rushed and many facts are incorrect.

The US invaded Iraq in 2003. I think you are confusing Iraq (Saddam) and Afghanistan (Taliban).

You've got a good intro and you also include your own opinion. But these should be two separate paragraphs. You should have 3 paragraphs all together, including one about your opponent's viewpoint.

You also need to include 2 pictures and a list of 3 facts/sources at the bottom.

Try to give it a little more in the next one.
